St. Edward's Garners Two NCAA All-Americans, Olympic Gold Medalist for Softball Coaching Team

Two former Texas Longhorns, both NCAA All-Americans, will be at the helm of .

Lindsay Gardner, who played for the 'Horns until 2002, was named Head Coach of the Hilltoppers. Olympic Gold and Silver medalist Cat Osterman, whose record-setting career on the Forty Acres ended in 2007, was named Assistant Coach.

"We played together throughout each of our careers and have always shared a passion for the game and a drive to be successful,� Gardner said of her new assistant

Gardner was assistant coach at St. Edward’s in 2007-2008. The team made consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament. They finished third in the Division II Women's College World Series in 2008.
