鈥�This Is My Thing,鈥� explores the ways we find and bring joy into our lives. It鈥檚 about the things we do not because it鈥檚 a job or a necessity 鈥� but simply because we love to do them.
Michael Lee, longtime producer of KUT鈥檚 Sonic ID project and producer/host of Arts Eclectic, talks with people who find their joy in sword fighting, curling (in Austin, Texas!), and flag football. You鈥檒l meet a guy who finds satisfaction in using his metal detector to find other people鈥檚 lost objects and you鈥檒l hear from a group of retired ladies who started a ukulele band just because it sounded fun. And that鈥檚 just the start.
The seven-minute segment will air on Tuesdays on KUT 90.5 with new episodes coming out every other Tuesday. The first week an episode comes out it鈥檒l air during 鈥淢orning Edition鈥� and 鈥淎ll Things Considered,鈥� then the following week it鈥檒l air during Tuesday鈥檚 鈥淗ere and Now.鈥� An expanded version will be included in the 鈥溾�� podcast feed and will feature extended interviews.
