Kick off the season at the Holiday Sing-Along and Downtown Stroll, Saturday, December 5, with KUT, KUTX and the Downtown Austin Alliance.
This free all-ages event begins at 6 p.m. on the south steps of the Capitol with KUTX鈥檚 John Aielli leading the crowd in singing songs of the season. Rusty on the lyrics? We鈥檒l be passing out free commemorative songbooks.
A few minutes before 7 p.m. we鈥檒l count down to the lighting of the Capitol tree, followed by a downtown stroll on Congress Avenue where shops, restaurants, galleries and museums will be open late and feature special activities, such as photos with Santa, live music, a special holiday Farmers鈥� Market with Sustainable Food Center and much more.
Support members of our community by bringing non-perishable food or cash donations to the Capitol Christmas tree for the .
The Holiday Sing-Along & Downtown Stroll attracts a large crowd each year, so consider riding your bike or using . If you do drive, there are plenty of , including garage and metered parking.
