President Obama鈥檚 call today for met with immediate opposition here in Texas.
Gov. Rick Perry issued a statement calling for prayer and said that 鈥済uns require a finger to pull the trigger.鈥�
Gun advocates, like Bill Titus of the , criticized the efficacy and intent of President Obama鈥檚 proposals.
鈥淭he problem is not access to firearms, the problem is behavior,鈥� Titus said. 鈥淭his seems like more government intervention, more government bureaucracy and probably more government invasion of privacy.鈥�
Titus teaches classes that are required to get a concealed-carry permit in Texas. He says he鈥檚 lately seen a lot more people signing up.
