Polls are now open across Austin for AISD's
Registered voters can vote with a voter registration card, driver鈥檚 license or official photo ID, birth certificate, United States citizenship papers or passport, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, or other official document that shows the name and address of the voter. There are many across Austin.
The bond is separated into four propositions. Each prop would use that money for different projects -everything from basic repairs to constructing new schools.
Here's a rundown:
- Prop One would put $140 million towards food services, and energy conservation.
- Prop Two would allocate $234 million to and.
- Prop Three puts $350 million towards basic repairs.
The proposition has come under fire from local taxpayer groups who say the district should not borrow money for smaller repairs. The group also because it says the ballot language is misleading.
