AISD says it needs to find a third party to help run the troubled school to prevent the state from taking it over. Eastside has not met state academic accountability standards for nearly a decade.
But Steve Swanson, a member of the school鈥檚 campus advisory committee, says repeated open-records requests he鈥檚 submitted to the district have not turned up planning process documents for the campus. So he鈥檚 suing in AG真人百家乐 County District Court.
鈥淚 do not know that they鈥檙e withholding anything,鈥� Swanson said. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 the purpose for the suit, so we can go through the process to know exactly what they do have or don鈥檛 have.鈥�
The district says it can鈥檛 respond to the lawsuit until it has a chance to analyze it. , the district says it believes it has responded to all of Swanson鈥檚 public information requests.
