A Little Traffic, A Few Street Closures as F1 Winds Down

Austin鈥檚 first Formula 1 race is now in the record books. McLaren driver .

Thousands of F1 fans are now headed to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Officials say today could be one of the busiest days ever at the airport. To help with increased demand, airlines added seven flights today and a total of more than 2,500 additional seats.

The city is expecting heavy traffic around the airport and longer-than-normal screening lines. Airport officials say .

Some following the . Congress Avenue is back open but a portion of Colorado is still closed鈥攁s are parts of Second, Third and Fourth Streets.

Colorado and Second Street will be back open by 6 p.m. while Third and Fourth Streets between Colorado and Congress will remain closed until midnight.
