A have filed for the three Austin city council seats up for election this May. With the filing period over, the city clerk will draw names tomorrow morning to determine the order that names will appear in on the ballot.
Place 1 incumbent is seeking a full three-year term. He will face former assistant city manager Roger Chan, one-time mayoral candidate and electrical engineer Norman Jacobson.
Randi Shade, seeking a second term in Place 3 also drew three opponents: former council member , unsuccessful state house candidate and neighborhood activist Kathie Tovo.

Election Day is Saturday, May 14. Early voting runs May 2-10.
